The Vaporesso XROS series has been one of the most popular brands in the world of pod vaping since it was first introduced a few years ago, and a big reason for that is because nearly every device in the series comes in three versions: standard, Mini and Nano. With the high level of variety, there's something for everyone.
People love the XROS Nano devices because they’re the most compact vapes in the XROS series, but they don’t compromise at all on capabilities or battery life. In short, they make high-end vaping as pocketable as it can possibly be.
The fact that the XROS series is so huge means that you have no shortage of options as a discerning vaper. The potential downside, though, is that it can be difficult to choose which device in the series to buy because most of them are still in production. The Vaporesso XROS 3 Nano is a perfect example of that. It’s not the latest device in the XROS Nano series now that the XROS 4 Nano is out, but it’s still available and is totally viable as a daily driver. It also costs a bit less than the XROS 4 Nano, making it especially attractive if you’re budget conscious.
So, is the XROS 3 Nano a good vape to buy? If you’re torn between the XROS 3 Nano and XROS 4 Nano (review), what are the important points that can help you decide between the two? Let’s dig in.

How Much Does the XROS 3 Nano Cost?
The Vaporesso XROS 3 Nano costs $23.95 at the time of writing. It’s available in 13 amazing colors, and the kit includes the XROS 3 Nano device along with two pods, a charging cable and an instruction manual. You can typically expect a pod to last approximately one week, although the usage time can vary depending on how heavily sweetened your e-liquid is. We suggest adding an extra box of XROS pods to your order to ensure that you’ll have enough to last for a while. The all-new XROS COREX 2.0 pods cost $10.99 per box, and each box includes four pods.

XROS 3 Nano: Features

Small and Stylish
The biggest feature of the XROS 3 Nano – a feature that it shares with all XROS Nano devices – is that it’s extremely small and stylish. The XROS 3 Nano is so small that you can just about close your entire hand around it. It’s thin enough not to create an outline in your pocket, and it’s light enough that you can wear it on a lanyard around your neck if you like. With a maximum output of 16 watts, though, you definitely don’t have to compromise on vapor production or satisfaction with this device. The XROS 3 Nano also features an enormous color selection. There’s enough visual flair here that you’ll enjoy showing the XROS 3 Nano off, but the overall appearance is still that of a high-end gadget. We’re big fans.
Compatible with All XROS Pods
The next main feature of the XROS 3 Nano is another one that all XROS vapes share: it’s compatible with every Vaporesso XROS pod. One of the defining features of every XROS vape is that every device in the series works with any XROS pod. That means you’re free to try different devices in the series without worrying that your existing pods will work, and it also means that you can shop for pods without worrying that you’re getting the wrong ones for your vape. If the pods say “XROS,” they’re compatible.
Refined Design Elements

The XROS 3 Nano is the first device in the Nano series since the original XROS Nano – there was no XROS 2 Nano – and although it essentially has the same technical capabilities, Vaporesso has given the XROS 3 Nano some subtle refinements that improve its appearance and usability.
- The original XROS Nano used four small tiding lights to indicate the battery’s charge level. The XROS 3 Nano replaces the tiding lights with a single neon-colored battery indicator.
- While the XROS Nano and XROS 3 Nano both have adjustable airflow, the adjustment slider for the XROS 3 Nano is a bit larger and easier to manipulate.
Other than those two differences, the XROS Nano and XROS 3 Nano are extremely similar to one another. If you already own the XROS Nano, the main reason why you should consider upgrading to the XROS 3 Nano is because you like the way it looks. The XROS 3 Nano is also a worthy replacement if your original XROS Nano stops working.
Vaporesso XROS 3 Nano vs. XROS 4 Nano: What Are the Differences?

As we explained above, the technical differences between the XROS Nano and XROS 3 Nano are minimal. The main difference between the two devices is the way they look – and they don't actually look all that different from one another.
That’s definitely not the case, however, with the Vaporesso XROS 4 Nano. The XROS 4 Nano is radically different from the XROS 3 Nano, both in its appearance and in its capabilities. If you’re trying to choose between the two, you might want to read our XROS 4 Nano review to get fully up to speed on Vaporesso’s latest offering. Here’s an overview of the differences between these two devices.
- The XROS 3 Nano and XROS 4 Nano look very different from one another. The XROS 3 Nano has a more utilitarian appearance; most versions feature solid colors, and there’s no screen. The XROS 4 Nano has a large full-color display, and the designs are much more whimsical.
- The XROS 4 Nano has adjustable power. You can adjust the wattage directly if you’re using the 0.4-ohm pod. With any other pod, you can choose from three pre-set power levels. The XROS 3 Nano doesn’t have adjustable power and configures itself based on the resistance of the pod you’re using.
- The XROS 4 Nano has a higher battery capacity of 1,350 mAh, while the battery capacity of the XROS 3 Nano is 1,000 mAh. The extra capacity is necessary to power the XROS 4 Nano’s bright display and provide the higher power range, though, so you might not notice increased vaping times compared to the XROS 3 Nano.
- The XROS 4 Nano has a much higher power range, topping out at 30 watts. The XROS 3 Nano, on the other hand, has a maximum power of 16 watts.
- The XROS 4 Nano also costs a bit more -- $29.49 compared to the $23.95 price of the XROS 3 Nano.
Overall, the XROS 3 Nano and XROS 4 Nano are so different from one another that you'll probably have no trouble choosing the one you want if you know what your priorities are.
- The XROS 3 Nano costs less than the XROS 4 Nano, making it a good option if you’re trying to be cost conscious. It’s simpler and easier to use than the XROS 4 Nano because there’s nothing to adjust or configure – just fill the pod and vape. You might also prefer the XROS 3 Nano if you want a device with a design that’s more tasteful and subtle.
- The XROS 4 Nano has a significantly higher maximum wattage than the XROS 3 Nano, so it’s the device that you should choose if you’re looking for a small pod vape that delivers the biggest clouds and boldest flavors possible. You also might want to choose the XROS 4 Nano if you enjoy using a vape with a design that’s bright and flashy. With the full-color animated screen, this device is certain to draw attention.
