How Much Does the Vaporesso XROS Pro Cost?
The Vaporesso XROS Pro pod kit costs $25.99 and includes the XROS Pro device along with two pods, a charging cable and an instruction manual. It’s available in 10 different colors, so you’ll have no trouble finding one that suits your style perfectly.
You can generally expect a vape pod to last about a week if you use it carefully – possibly even longer if you avoid heavily sweetened e-liquids. Since the XROS Pro kit includes two pods, you’ll have a backup that you can use if a pod burns out prematurely. Still, it’s a good idea to add at least one box of replacement pods to your order unless you’re an existing XROS user and already have plenty of spare pods around. Variable Power
The Vaporesso XROS Pro is the first XROS vape to offer variable power, and that feature works in two different ways depending on the resistance of the pod you’re using.
- If you’re using the 0.4-ohm XROS pod, you have full wattage control and can use the XROS Pro at any power level up to 30 watts.
- If you’re using any other XROS pod, you can choose from three pre-configured power levels by clicking the fire button three times. From the lowest power to the highest, the three modes are Eco, Normal and Power.
Intuitive Controls
One of the shortcomings of many single-button vapes is that it can be hard to remember how to access all of your device’s functions using just the fire button. Vaporesso has refined the interface of the XROS Pro to make it as easy as possible to do what you want to do.
- Press and hold the button to vape. You can also vape by just inhaling. Some people prefer the simplicity of puff-activated firing, but you’ll likely get slightly larger clouds if you use the fire button instead. The XROS Pro lets you try both firing styles and decide which one you prefer.
- Press the button five times to turn the XROS Pro on and off. You can also lock the device without turning it off by flipping the physical lock switch on the side.
- Press the button four times to clear the puff counter. You might find it useful to reset the puff counter at the start of each day to track your usage.
- Press the button three times to enter the wattage adjustment mode if you’re using the 0.4-ohm pod or to switch between the three pre-configured modes if you’re using one of the other pods.
- Press the button twice to turn the device’s light on and off.
Beautiful Design
The XROS series has always featured some impressive visual designs, but we think that the engineers at Vaporesso have really outdone themselves with the XROS Pro. Many people are going to find it hard to choose a favorite when they see this device’s color selection. From the solid-feeling metallic shell to the textured surface that catches the light in subtle ways as you vape, the XROS Pro looks very impressive.
Adding variable wattage naturally meant that Vaporesso would have to give the XROS Pro additional battery capacity, and they did that in the most graceful way possible by giving the device a gently sloping exterior to accommodate the larger cell. Although the XROS Pro is slightly larger than previous XROS vapes, it doesn’t really feel that way when it’s in your pocket.
Efficient Battery Usage
With the XROS Pro, Vaporesso introduced a new form of power delivery that they call Super Pulse Mode. No – this isn’t the same thing as Pulse Mode from the world of disposable vapes. Instead, it’s the way that the XROS Pro manages the flow of power from the battery to the coil.
Vaporesso’s Super Pulse Mode allows the XROS Pro to maintain a higher level of vapor production throughout the duration of the battery’s charge compared to other small vapes, which tend to drop greatly in vapor production after their batteries are half depleted. As you deplete the battery, any change in vapor output with the XROS Pro will be essentially unnoticeable until the battery is basically dead.
Vaporesso XROS Pro vs. XROS 4 Nano: What Are the Differences?
Although the XROS Pro was Vaporesso’s first XROS device with variable power, it’s no longer the only one because Vaporesso released the XROS 4 Nano – which has similar functionality – some months later. - The two devices look dramatically different from one another. While the XROS Pro looks understated and utilitarian apart from the splash of color, the XROS 4 Nano is more whimsical and has a sort of late-‘60s/early-‘70s vibe.
- Adding to the whimsical feel, the XROS 4 Nano has a color screen that displays an animation while you vape.
- The XROS 4 Nano has a slightly higher battery capacity of 1,350 mAh, compared to the 1,200-mAh capacity of the XROS Pro. The two devices have the same maximum power of 30 watts.
- Like the XROS Pro, the XROS 4 Nano has a single button that you use for performing all functions. The XROS 4 Nano doesn’t have a physical locking switch, though, requiring you to press the button four times to lock or unlock the device.
- Also like the XROS Pro, the XROS 4 Nano only allows manual wattage adjustments when you use the 0.4-ohm pod. With all other XROS pods, both devices offer three pre-set power levels.

If you’re an existing XROS fan who wants to get a little more out of your device, the Vaporesso XROS Pro is perfect for you because it delivers exactly what you want without sacrificing the things that made you fall in love with the XROS series in the first place. The only factor that might make your decision difficult is that you can say exactly the same thing about the Vaporesso XROS 4 Nano, which has essentially the same capabilities.
In terms of their feature sets, the only real difference between the XROS Pro and the XROS Nano 4 is that the Nano 4 has a slightly higher battery capacity. In practice, though, you probably won’t notice a difference in vaping time because of the battery consumption of the Nano 4’s bright display.
In the end, it mainly comes down to how you feel about the way the two devices look. The XROS Pro is more tasteful, businesslike and discreet. The XROS 4 Nano, on the other hand, can’t help but stand out. Either way, you really can’t go wrong because the XROS Pro and XROS 4 Nano both upgrade the XROS experience without losing the things that have made people love this great series of pod vapes.
