The Vaporesso XROS series has had near-legendary status in the vaping community since the release of the first device in the series back in 2020. People have always loved the simplicity and pocketable size of the XROS vapes. They’ve also loved the fact that every XROS pod works with every XROS vape, which means that you never have to worry about compatibility if you want to try a different pod resistance or experiment with other devices in the series.
The Vaporesso XROS 4 brings new technical capabilities to the series without losing sight of the things that people have always loved about XROS vapes. It’s a worthy upgrade if you’re currently using one of the previous vapes in the series, and it’s also a great entry point if you’re new to vaping or just new to the XROS series.
The XROS 4 is the first device in the XROS series with selectable power levels, and it has a snazzy new design that looks great and brings the XROS vapes into the modern age. It also introduces Vaporesso’s new COREX 2.0 coil technology, which improves flavor quality and vapor production across the entire XROS product range.
The Vaporesso XROS 4 recently got our vote as one of the best vape kits of 2025. You're about to find out why.

What’s the Price of the Vaporesso XROS 4?

The Vaporesso XROS 4 kit costs $29.95 and includes the XROS 4 pod system, two pods in resistances of 0.4 and 0.8 ohm, a USB cable and a product guide.
Vaporesso XROS COREX 2.0 pods are available in resistances ranging from 0.4 to 1.2 ohm, and they cost $10.99 per box of four. We suggest grabbing an extra box of pods when buying this device to ensure that you’ll have plenty of spares available in case a pod burns out prematurely. You can generally expect an XROS pod to last at least a week before the flavor changes, but you may experience reduced pod life if the e-liquid that you use is heavily sweetened.

Vaporesso XROS 4: Features
Adjustable Power

The biggest story with the XROS 4 is that it’s the first device in the XROS series to feature adjustable power. Vaporesso also gave the even newer XROS 4 Nano adjustable power, and we’ll talk about the differences between the devices in a moment. The XROS 4 keeps things simple by offering three pre-configured power levels and allowing you to switch between them by tapping the fire button three times.
There are three flame icons above the button to let you know which mode is currently active. The indicator above the flame icons also changes color, going from green at the lowest power level to red at the highest.
As you would expect from a new entry in the main numbered XROS series, the XROS 4 has a manual fire button for maximum cloud production and an adjustable airflow slider that allows you to select your preferred draw tightness.
Refined Design

One of the things we love most about the XROS 4 is its refined design. It’s immediately recognizable as an XROS thanks to the clear squarish pod extending from the top, but the subtle enhancements all add up to a look that immediately makes every previous XROS look outdated.
The thing that makes the XROS 4 look so modern is the fact that the entire device is built into a single unibody aluminum shell, much like a premium notebook computer. Without any visible screws or seams, the XROS 4 looks smooth and very professional.
It’s also likely that the shell will give the XROS 4 a bit of extra shock resistance compared to most other vapes – especially disposables. If you’ve ever had a disposable vape stop working on you because you happened to drop it on the floor, that’s a situation you’re much less likely to encounter with this device.
COREX 2.0 Technology

The XROS 4 is the first vape in the XROS series to come with pods featuring Vaporesso’s new COREX 2.0 technology, which enhances flavor, vapor production and pod longevity. Here’s what Vaporesso has changed with the new technology.
- They’ve refined the shape of the mesh coil for more efficient heating. The coil now heats up more quickly than before and generates about 15 percent more vapor per puff.
- They’re changed the wick to a new microfiber cotton blend that’s more heat resistant and transports the vape juice to the coil more rapidly. This helps to prevent the coil from drying out, improving the pod’s lifespan by up to 30 percent.
Every vape in the XROS series is compatible with all XROS pods, so you don’t have to buy the XROS 4 to enjoy the COREX 2.0 technology. Nevertheless, the new pod serves as evidence that Vaporesso isn’t just focusing on improvements to its devices; they’re also continually refining their pod and coil technology to stretch the limits of what a small, pocketable vape can do.
Vaporesso XROS 4 vs XROS 4 Mini and Nano: What Are the Differences?
The XROS 4 was the first XROS device to offer variable power, but it’s not the only one anymore now that the even newer XROS 4 Nano has come out. Unless you have a strong favorite based on appearance – since the two devices look radically different from one another – you might have a tough decision on your hands. Don’t forget that there’s also the XROS 4 Mini, which doesn’t quite have the same feature set but costs significantly less than the other two devices.
How do the Vaporesso XROS 4, XROS 4 Nano and XROS 4 Mini differ from one another? Here’s a quick overview.
XROS 4 vs. XROS 4 Nano

The XROS 4 Nano represents a radical design departure for Vaporesso. Although the devices in the XROS Nano series have always used a mini-box shape somewhat similar to the design of many popular disposable vapes, the XROS 4 Nano is the first device in the series that’s quite obviously inspired by disposables. Featuring a large circular display and three different animations that play while you vape, the XROS 4 Nano definitely stands out.
The XROS 4 Nano is also the first vape in the XROS series with full wattage control. If you’re using the 0.4-ohm pod, you can adjust the wattage of the XROS 4 Nano up to a maximum of 30 watts. With any other pod, you get the same low-medium-high settings as with the regular XROS 4. To support the adjustable wattage and bright screen, the XROS 4 Nano has a higher battery capacity than the regular XROS 4 – 1,350 mAh rather than 1,000 mAh. You may not notice increased vaping time in practice, though, due to the device’s increased power consumption.
Although the XROS 4 Nano does have enhanced capabilities compared to the standard XROS 4, you’re only going to experience those capabilities if you use the 0.4-ohm pod. Otherwise, the XROS 4 Nano and XROS 4 are basically the same apart from their different designs and the fact that the XROS 4 Nano has a bright screen. If you use any pod other than the 0.4-ohm pod, you can essentially choose the device that you think looks nicer.

XROS 4 vs. XROS 4 Mini

The XROS 4 Mini is basically a smaller, simplified and less expensive version of the XROS 4. Because it’s smaller and costs less, the XROS 4 Mini lacks a few features of the regular XROS 4.
- The XROS 4 Mini has the same battery capacity of 1,000 mAh, but it lacks 2-amp charging and takes about an hour to charge.
- The XROS 4 Mini doesn’t have a manual fire button and uses puff-activated firing only.
- The XROS 4 Mini doesn’t have adjustable power and configures itself automatically based on the resistance of the installed pod.
- The XROS 4 and XROS 4 Mini both feature the same durable aluminum unibody design.
Vaporesso XROS 4 Review: Our Expert Perspective

Overall, the Vaporesso XROS 4 is a great leap forward for the XROS series that immediately makes the previous devices in the series look and feel obsolete. The XROS 4 adds variable power, giving you the ability to choose from three different intensity levels without making the experience overly complicated. The new aluminum unibody construction is also a big leap forward for both durability and overall appearance. If you use any previous device in the XROS series, you’ll definitely want to grab the XROS 4.
Best Points
- Adds variable power to the XROS series for the first time.
- Although the technical capabilities are increased compared to previous XROS vapes, the XROS 4 retains the ease of use that has made the XROS series so popular.
- Compatible with every XROS pod and introduces the new COREX 2.0 coil technology.
Could Be Improved
