How Much Does the SMOK Novo Pro Cost?
The SMOK Novo Pro kit costs just $21.99 at the time of writing. In the box, you’ll find the Novo Pro device along with two pods, a charging cable and an instruction manual.
You can expect each Novo Pro pod to last roughly a week depending on how you vape – so unless you’re planning to order another box of pods right away, it’s a good idea to add some extra pods to your order when buying this device. Novo Pro Pod Compatibility
The SMOK Novo Pro includes two SMOK Novo pods in resistances of 0.6 and 0.8 ohm. It’s compatible with three different types of pods, though, which means that you’ll have plenty of options if you’re in the mood for experimentation. Here’s a full list of the Novo Pro’s compatible pods.
- SMOK Novo Pods: Sold in boxes of three starting at $8.50. Available in resistances ranging from 0.6 to 1.5 ohm.

The main difference between the three types of Novo Pro pods is that they all come with slightly different coil types and resistances. A coil with a lower resistance is generally designed to operate at higher wattages and will produce bigger, warmer clouds. A higher-resistance coil, on the other hand, will typically give you smaller clouds and smoother flavors.
The other key difference to know is that SMOK Novo 2X pods have removable mouthpieces and are designed to fill from the top. SMOK Novo and Novo 2 pods, on the other hand, have filling ports on their sides.

SMOK Novo Pro vs. Novo Master: What Are the Differences?
SMOK can sometimes be a bit confusing when it comes to the naming conventions of their products, and that definitely applies to the Novo series. They recently released two Novo devices with very similar names – the Novo Pro and the Novo Master – and the differences between those devices might not be immediately obvious to you. Here’s how they compare.
- The SMOK Novo Master is the simpler of the two devices. It doesn’t have fully adjustable power, although it does have the same maximum power of 30 watts. You can switch between low- and high-power vaping modes by clicking the fire button twice. The Novo Master doesn’t have a built-in display, and it has a slightly lower battery capacity of 1,000 mAh.
- The SMOK Novo Pro is the more advanced of the two devices. In addition to having a smart display and a higher battery capacity of 1,300 mAh, the Novo Pro allows you to select the device’s wattage manually. The device also suggests a wattage automatically when you insert a new pod.

Full Wattage Control
The most important feature of the SMOK Novo Pro is the fact that it allows you to vape at any power level up to 30 watts. This pushes the Novo series into the territory of the SMOK Nord, which is known for offering more advanced features. The Novo Pro is just as pocketable as other Novo vapes, though, so SMOK hasn’t lost sight of what makes people so fond of these devices.
If you don’t want to use the wattage adjustment feature of the Novo Pro, that’s not a problem because the device automatically suggests a wattage for you when you insert a pod.
Radical New Redesign
With the release of devices like the Novo Pro, the Novo Master and the Nord GT, SMOK has introduced an entirely new design language that gives the devices a much-needed visual overhaul and makes them look very modern and appealing. If you thought that the devices in the Novo series were starting to look a little long in the tooth, you’re really going to appreciate the new look.
The Novo Pro is available in 13 colors in all at the time of writing, with trim options including leather, carbon fiber and a new prismatic etched pattern. The colors are really attractive, and we think they’re going to age well.
Fixing Problems with the SMOK Novo Pro
The people at SMOK usually do a great job when writing their instructions, but the manuals can sometimes be a bit short on information when it comes to troubleshooting problems. We’re going to correct that issue here. If you’re experiencing a problem with your SMOK Novo Pro, here’s how to fix it.
Not Hitting
If your SMOK Novo Pro isn’t hitting when you puff on it or press the fire button, follow these steps.
- Make sure that the device is turned on by pressing the button five times.
- Connect the device to your computer and make sure that the battery is charged fully.
- Remove the pod and check for e-liquid under it. If the pod has leaked, dry it and the Novo Pro completely with a paper towel.
- Replace the pod.
Not Charging
When you connect the Novo Pro to your computer, the screen should turn on and display a charging indicator. If that doesn’t happen, follow these steps.
- Replace the USB cable. It’s possible that the cable you’re trying to use is worn out.
- Use a different power source. You can charge the Novo Pro with a wall adapter that has an output of 5 volts and 1 amp, or you can use your computer’s USB port.
- Clean the Novo Pro’s charging port. You can use a toothpick to remove lint and dust.
Leaking
If you see e-liquid inside the Novo Pro when removing the pod, it means that the pod has leaked. Follow these steps.
- Use a paper towel to remove all of the leaked e-liquid.
- Don’t overfill the pod. If there is too much e-liquid in the pod, you may experience leaking when you replace the stopper.
- Don’t puff too hard. If you hear gurgling when using the Novo Pro, you need to reduce the air pressure.
Tastes Burnt
If you notice a burnt flavor when using the Novo Pro, follow these steps.
- Make sure that the pod isn’t empty.
- Reduce the wattage or take shorter puffs.
- Replace the pod. After around a week of use, e-liquid residue will cause the pod to begin producing a burnt, smoky flavor.
