Although the Vaporesso Luxe series has come a long way since then, it started out as a competitor for other medium-sized stick-shaped pod vapes like the SMOK Novo. Smaller than a credit card, the Vaporesso Luxe Q nevertheless featured an impressive battery life of 1,000 mAh and had a sub-ohm pod available to provide excellent vapor production for such a small device. Vaporesso has since moved on from the original Luxe Q, but they still hold true to the design principles that made this original effort great.
Vaporesso Luxe QS
The Vaporesso Luxe QS is a slightly refined version of the original Luxe Q. The main enhancement is in the device’s visual appearance, which now features a stylish holographic color scheme and an anti-slip texture. The Luxe QS also allows you to adjust the device’s airflow by removing and reversing the pod.
Vaporesso Luxe Q2
For the second generation of the Vaporesso Luxe Q platform, Vaporesso has given the Luxe Q2 a stylish new design featuring color-matched leather insets for looks and comfort. The Luxe Q2 also features 2-amp charging, which means that the 1,000-mAh battery charges fully in just a bit over 30 minutes. Although all Luxe Q vapes are compatible with all Luxe Q pods, Vaporesso came out with several new coil resistance options coinciding with the release of the Luxe Q2. While the wattage isn’t directly adjustable on this device, the wide range of resistance options gives you an opportunity to customize your device’s vapor production and flavor intensity until everything is exactly as you want it.
Vaporesso Luxe Q2 SE
The Vaporesso Luxe Q2 SE is a slightly simplified version of the Luxe Q2. It’s missing a couple of the Luxe Q2’s features; the airflow isn’t adjustable, and the charging speed is 1 amp rather than 2 amps. It also costs a little less than the Luxe Q2. The Luxe Q2 SE also has an intriguing design with a transparent cutaway that reveals graffiti-styled artwork underneath. Plainer color options are also available.

The Vaporesso Luxe X series is Vaporesso’s higher-end alternative to the Luxe Q series for vapers who want a device with a bit more power and flexibility but still want to keep things small. The increased power begins with the upgraded Luxe X pod, which is available in resistances as low as 0.3 ohm and supports direct-to-lung inhaling to provide enormous vapor production for a device of its size. For those who prefer the mouth-to-lung inhaling style, higher-resistance pods are also available. The Luxe X has a battery capacity of 1,500 mAh and operates at up to 40 watts depending on the resistance of the installed pod. It supports push-button firing to promote maximum cloud production, and it also has an eye-catching transparent outer shell that reveals the device’s circuit board.
Vaporesso Luxe X Pro
Vaporesso Luxe X pods are available with several different coil resistances, giving you the ability to customize your device’s vapor output to a certain extent just by using a different pod. There are some people in the vaping community, though, who want even more control than that. If you fall into that category, the Vaporesso Luxe X Pro is the device for you because it has fully adjustable wattage up to a maximum output of 40 watts along with adjustable airflow via a slider on the side of the device. The Luxe X, on the other hand, lacks the adjustable wattage and airflow. The two devices have the same battery life of 1,500 mAh.
Vaporesso Luxe X2
For the second generation of the Luxe X platform, Vaporesso made a variety of improvements to create an even more premium vaping experience. The Vaporesso Luxe X2 has an increased battery capacity of 2,000 mAh, and it offers both push-button and automatic puff-based firing. The airflow of the Luxe X2 is also fully adjustable via a slider on the side of the device. The Luxe X2 features a miniature display with a padlock icon to let you know when the device is locked. Vaporesso introduced its new COREX 2.0 technology with the debut of the Luxe X2. COREX 2.0 is explained in our guide on Vaporesso pods, but the quick summary is that COREX 2.0 pods feature a redesigned mesh coil and an upgraded microfiber cotton wick to provide bigger clouds and improved heat resistance compared to the original COREX technology.

The Vaporesso Luxe X and Luxe XR debuted alongside one another with similar capabilities aside from the difference in pod design. While Vaporesso Luxe X pods have built-in coils, Vaporesso Luxe XR pods have removable coils and work with the Vaporesso GTX coil system. The Vaporesso X and XR both have battery capacities of 1,500 mAh, and they both operate at up to 40 watts depending on the resistance of the pod or coil installed. Vaporesso eventually unified the Luxe X and Luxe XR ranges with the release of the Luxe X2, and they also expanded the Luxe XR brand with the ultra-powerful Luxe XR Max described below.
Vaporesso Luxe XR Max
If you want a pod vape that can give you the very best of everything, you simply must have the Vaporesso Luxe XR Max. The Luxe XR Max has fully adjustable power and operates at a maximum of 80 watts, which means that it can coax every ounce of performance out of the Vaporesso GTX coil system. There’s an added level of safety here that isn’t present in most variable-wattage vapes, though, in that the Luxe XR Max automatically limits the maximum wattage to a safe level based on the resistance of the installed coil. It also recommends an ideal wattage for the coil, although you’re still free to make adjustments afterwards.
The Luxe XR Max is intended to be the very best stick-shaped pod system that money can buy. Although it’s reasonably sized, it includes a high-capacity 2,800-mAh battery. How Do Vaporesso Luxe vs. XROS Vapes Compare?
Compared to the Vaporesso Luxe platform, the devices in the Vaporesso XROS series are smaller and more pocketable while also offering a bit less power and vapor production. XROS pods are also smaller and don’t store quite as much vape juice.
How Do You Turn On a Vaporesso Luxe?
If you have a Vaporesso Luxe with a fire button, you can turn the device on and off by pressing the button five times. If your device doesn’t have a fire button, it’s on when a pod is installed. If your Luxe vape doesn’t seem to be working, make sure that the battery is charged. Check for a leak under the pod and dry the device if necessary. If the device still isn’t working, replace the pod or coil.
How Do You Change the Coil in a Vaporesso Luxe?
If you’re using a Vaporesso Luxe Q or Luxe X pod, the pod has a built-in coil that isn’t replaceable. To get a new coil, you need to replace the entire pod. If you’re using a Vaporesso Luxe XR pod, you can replace the coil by pulling the old coil out of the bottom of the pod and pushing the replacement in. Removing the coil will cause any e-liquid in the pod to come out, so you should change the coil only when the pod is empty.
