How to Use the Vaporesso Luxe XR Max
Charging the Device
Before you start using the Luxe XR Max, you’ll want to charge the battery completely. You can do that by connecting it to your computer using the USB-C charging cable included in the box. While the battery charges, you’ll see an animated battery icon on the screen. When the icon is full, the device is ready to use.
Filling the Pod
To full the Luxe XR pod, remove it from the device and look for the silicone plug on the bottom that closes the pod. Remove the plug. Add your e-liquid through the port and replace the plug. Before you start vaping – and every time you replace the coil – wait a few minutes to make sure that the coil is completely saturated.
Using the Device
To use the Luxe XR Max, just inhale through the mouthpiece while holding the fire button. You can adjust the airflow by moving the slider on the side of the device.
- To change the wattage, click the button three times and then use the touch-sensitive keys to adjust the device’s power. Click the button again to confirm.
- To access the device’s other functions, click the button four times to open the menu system. The menu is explained fully in the printed instruction manual, and it allows you to:
- Turn the LED on and off
- Enable or disable the Smart vaping mode
- Reset the automatic puff counter
Replacing the Coil
To replace the coil in your Luxe XR Max, remove the pod from the device and grasp the coil by its base. Pull out the coil and push in the new one. Note that only the Luxe XR pod has a replaceable coil. If you’re using a Luxe X pod, you’ll need to replace the entire pod when you’re no longer happy with the flavor.

If your Luxe XR Max isn’t charging, follow these steps to troubleshoot it.
- Use a different charging source. Don’t charge the Luxe XR Max with a wall charger for a smartphone or tablet.
- Replace the charging cable.
- Make sure that the charging port is free of dust and lint.
Luxe XR Max Isn’t Hitting
If your Luxe XR Max isn’t hitting, follow these steps to troubleshoot it.
- Charge the battery. If the battery doesn’t charge, troubleshoot that issue using the steps outlined above.
- Check under the pod for a leak. If it’s wet under the pod, dry the pod and the device completely.
- Push the coil in fully.
- Replace the coil.
Luxe XR Max Leaking
If you experience a leak with the Vaporesso Luxe XR Max, check the bottom of the pod to confirm that the coil is fully inserted, and the silicone plug is completely closed. Puff gently when you use the device because using too much air pressure can cause the coil to flood. If you continue to experience leaking, replace the coil.
Luxe XR Max Blinking
The Luxe XR Max has several blink codes that it can use to notify you when there’s a problem. Here’s what the codes mean.
- Luxe XR Max blinks five times in red: This indicates a problem with the resistance of the installed coil or that the coil is not detected. Use the “Luxe XR Max Isn’t Working” section above to troubleshoot this issue.
- Luxe XR Max blinks three times in red: This indicates that the battery’s charge level is low. Recharge the battery.
- Luxe XR Max blinks four times in red: This indicates that the device’s temperature is too high. Move the Luxe XR Max to a cooler location and wait a while for the device to cool down before vaping again.
- Luxe XR Max blinks five times in green, blue or blue/red: This indicates that you’ve triggered the device’s built-in puff limiter. Maintain a puff length shorter than 10 seconds.
