Raz RX 50K Vape Review

If you’ve ever found yourself feeling like it’s been quite a while since Raz Vape last released a new device, you’re not alone. Although Raz remains one of the most popular vape brands, the Raz DC25000 has remained their flagship device for quite a while. Meanwhile, other brands have released devices with innovative new features that have made the DC25000 feel a little outdated. If you’re a committed Raz fan who loves the flavor selection, you’re probably still buying it. If you’re a little more flexible in your buying preferences, though, there’s a chance that you’ve moved to a different brand.

Well, Raz has finally returned with something new. If you’ve left the fold for another brand, the new Raz RX 50K is the company’s bid to bring you back. Will it work? In this review, we’ll break down exactly what the Raz RX has to offer.

How Much Does the Raz RX 50K Cost?

Raz RX 50K Cost

The Raz RX 50K costs $16.49 at the time of writing, putting it on par with other high-capacity vapes that have similar puff counts. Considering Raz’s enormous level of popularity, we believe they’ll have no trouble selling plenty of units at this price.

Raz RX Features

Increased Adjustability

The best way to make sense of the Raz RX’s new features is by comparing it to the Raz DC25000. As Raz’s previous flagship, the DC25000 had the brand’s most advanced features until now. The top feature of the Raz RX is that it’s dramatically more adjustable than the DC25000. The DC25000 only gives you two power settings plus two airflow settings. That’s only four possible combinations, and the airflow is really only set up to give you two types of mouth-to-lung draws.

The Raz RX has three power settings and three airflow settings for a maximum of nine possible power/airflow combinations. This gives you much greater flexibility. It also helps if you’ve tried vapes with two power levels and found that neither level was quite what you wanted. With some vapes, the single-coil mode isn’t quite satisfying enough, while the dual-coil mode is a bit too intense. You probably won’t experience that issue with the Raz RX. You’ll also be glad for the fact that the maximum airflow setting is a bit more open than on the DC25000, allowing for a restricted direct-to-lung hit.

Increased Capacity

Another key difference between the Raz RX and DC25000 is that the RX has more vape juice. While the DC25000 has 16 ml of e-liquid, the RX has 19 ml. That’s close to 19 percent more vape juice. Although the difference isn’t huge – and it’s not quite enough to compete with the longest-lasting disposable vapes – you’ll probably find that it’s sufficient to provide at least an extra day or two of vaping at only a very slight price increase.

Creative Flavor Selection

One drawback of the Raz RX is that it has what some people might consider a surprisingly small flavor selection for a new flagship device from a top brand. With only 10 flavors available at launch, there’s a possibility that your favorite flavor profile isn’t available for this device yet.

On the other hand, we really have to applaud Raz for their creativity in developing flavors for this device. There’s a lot of sameness in disposable vapes these days because many companies seem to feel that it’s absolutely essential to make sure that their newly launched devices have certain flavor profiles available. After a while, you might get tired of seeing flavors like Blue Razz Ice and Miami Mint. You’re not going to have that problem with the Raz RX. These are brand-new flavor profiles that you haven’t experienced before, so this device is ideal if you’re a restless vaper who rarely sticks with one flavor for long.

What Are the Best Raz RX Flavors?

Raz RX 50K Flavors

At the time of writing, there are two editions of the Raz RX 50K – the Batch Edition and the Dew Edition – that offer five flavors each. Each edition has its own theme, so we’ll describe the groups separately.

Raz RX Dew Edition

The Raz RX Dew Edition focuses on soda-themed flavors, which is something you might have guessed from the name. The flavors in this group all have tangy, bubbly notes to create an overall experience that’s light and refreshing. The Dew Edition flavors are:

  • Code Blue: Fizzy soda with notes of blue raspberry and crisp menthol.
  • Code Green: Fizzy soda with a note of sour green apple.
  • Code Pink: Fizzy soda with notes of pink lemonade and strawberry.
  • Code Red: Fizzy soda with notes of juicy cherry and fresh summer berries.
  • Code White: Fizzy soda with notes of coconut cream and mixed citrus.

Raz RX Batch Edition

The Raz RX Batch Edition focuses on candy flavors with a slightly sour aspect, a bit like a certain popular candy brand with a similar name. The Batch Edition flavors are:

Raz RX FAQ

Because there seems to be a lot of conflicting information about the Raz RX online, we’d like to set the record straight about a couple of key details in this FAQ.

Does the Raz RX Have 9 Power Levels?

No. The Raz RX has three power levels and three airflow settings. Since you can operate the device with any of the three different airflow settings at each power level, the RX can effectively give you nine different experiences. However, it doesn’t have nine selectable wattage settings.

Does the Raz RX Have a Clear E-Liquid Window?

No. The Raz RX doesn’t have a transparent tank and uses the smart screen to track the approximate juice level. When the meter reaches the bottom, the device may still have a substantial number of puffs remaining but will most likely run out of vape juice soon. When the Raz RX is completely out of vape juice, it’ll taste burnt.

Raz RX 50K Review: Our Expert Perspective

All in all, the RX 50K looks like another winner from Raz. The Raz DC25000 remains one of the industry’s most popular vapes years after its release, showing that this is a brand with serious staying power. The DC25000 is beginning to look a bit long in the tooth, though, comparing its capabilities to many other new vapes that have been recently released.

More than ever, people are looking for vapes that have huge puff counts and offer greater adjustability – and the Raz RX 50K succeeds on both of those fronts. The RX 50K has 3 ml more vape juice than the DC25000, which means that you’ll be able to vape for at least an extra day – maybe even longer – before replacing the device.

The even bigger story here, though, is the higher level of adjustability that the RX 50K offers. Between the three power settings and three airflow settings, you can configure the RX 50K in nine different ways. That makes it possible to enjoy power and airflow combinations that aren’t possible with the DC25000. The wider airflow vent also makes it possible to get a restricted direct-to-lung hit, which you’ll enjoy if the DC25000’s airflow is a bit too tight for you.

Is the Raz RX 50K going to bring lapsed users back into the fold? Based on our experience, we’d say that’s very likely.

Best Points

  • Very interesting flavor profiles available – not the same flavors that every other brand is doing
  • Longer lasting than the Raz DC25000
  • Greater adjustability than the Raz DC25000 – nine total experiences in all between the three power levels and three airflow settings

Could Be Improved

  • For a new flagship vape from one of the most popular brands, the RX 50K has a fairly small flavor selection at launch
