The Oxbar Astro Maze costs $15.49 at the time of writing, and it’s available in over 20 flavors at launch. With a claimed lifespan of up to 50,000 puffs, this is definitely a device that has the potential to save you a good amount of money compared to a lot of other recent vapes.

Oxbar Astro Maze Features
Five Levels of Adjustability
The most notable feature of the Oxbar Astro Maze is the fact that it offers five distinct power levels rather than the two or three that you’ll get with most disposable vapes. Oxbar markets this feature as an adjustable nicotine level, but that isn’t really correct because the device’s nicotine strength is always 50 mg/ml. It’s more accurate to say that you’re actually adjusting the device’s power. Changing the power level does change your nicotine intake in a sense, though, since inhaling bigger clouds will mean that you’re inhaling more nicotine per puff.
You can change the Astro Maze’s power level by clicking the button at the top of the smart display. When you change the power level, the “Nic Level” section of the smart display updates to show which level is currently active. The light bars on the side of the device also change color, which adds a bit of visual interest.
Triple-Coil Design
Most vapes with adjustable power have dual-coil designs, and they switch from one coil to two when you increase the power level. More recently, though, manufacturers have begun to give their devices triple-coil and even quad-coil designs for even bigger clouds. The Oxbar Astro Maze uses a triple-coil design with a novel firing pattern that actually causes different sections of the coil to fire based on which power level you’re using. This is a very interesting technological innovation, and it means that you can really feel the difference when you switch between the device’s different power levels. As you’d expect from a vape with a triple-coil design, it also means that the cloud production is extremely impressive.
Separate Power and Airflow Adjustments
We also need to make a special note of the fact that the Oxbar Astro Maze allows you to adjust the device’s power level and airflow separately from one another. Power adjustments are performed by pressing the button, and airflow adjustments are made by moving the slider on the bottom of the device.
As much as people are clamoring these days for disposable vapes with high levels of adjustability, this is still a fairly rare feature. Many vapes still handle power and airflow adjustments in the same way as the Geek Bar Pulse, with a single slider adjusting both. Although having a single control slider makes the device very easy to use, it’s also limiting because you can’t have loose airflow on the higher power setting or vice versa. With the Astro Maze, whatever setting you want is entirely possible.
What Are the Best Oxbar Astro Maze Flavors?
One of the best things about the Oxbar Astro Maze is that it has a huge selection of over 20 flavors at launch. That’s a much larger array of choices than what you’ll get with most newly launched vapes, which typically debut with about 8-12 flavors. Even new vapes from mega-popular brands like Geek Bar and Foger don’t usually have so many flavors at launch.
Although the Astro Maze has plenty of sweet flavors as you’d expect with any modern disposable vape, one of the things that makes this device stand out is the enormous variety of flavors that aren’t sweet. Do you like tobacco flavors? The Astro Maze offers several: American Red Tobacco, Cig Tobacco, Jewel Tobacco, Menthol Tobacco, RY4 Tobacco, Tobacco Cubano and Virginia Tobacco. There’s even an Unflavored option that allows you to enjoy the taste of the nicotine on its own and a Clear flavor that has a bit of menthol to provide a cool finish.

How to Use the Oxbar Astro Maze
The Oxbar Astro Maze works much the same as other disposable vapes in most respects, but there are also some ways in which it’s a bit unique. If this is your first disposable vape, here’s a quick primer to help you get up to speed.

Unboxing:
- Tear open the outer box and the inner freshness pouch. Remove the Astro Maze from the pouch.
- Check for a plug inside the mouthpiece and a protective strip covering the airflow opening. Discard both of those and the Astro Maze is ready to use.

Vaping:
- To vape, puff on the Astro Maze’s mouthpiece. The airflow sensor detects that the device is in use and begins producing vapor immediately. Be mindful of how much air pressure you’re using. If the device gurgles, puff more gently.

Changing the Power:
- To change the power, click the button at the top of the Astro Maze’s smart display. The display updates to show which of the five levels is currently active. If you’re using the third, fourth or fifth power level, the word “Boost” also appears on the screen.

Changing the Airflow:
- To change the airflow, move the slider on the bottom of the device. The Astro Maze can deliver anything from a tight mouth-to-lung hit to a slightly loose direct-to-lung draw.

Charging the Battery:
- When the battery meter reaches the bottom, connect the Astro Maze to your computer with a USB-C cable to recharge it. Charging the Astro Maze takes about an hour.

- When the Astro Maze is out of e-liquid, it’ll start to produce burnt hits. When you start to taste harshness on every puff, you’re out of vape juice and need to replace the device.

With an almost unprecedented level of customizability, the Oxbar Astro Maze is the ultimate disposable vape for tinkerers. While even many recent vapes only allow you to choose between two power levels, the Astro Maze gives you five – and on top of that, you can also adjust the airflow.
When discussing a disposable vape’s flavor selection, phrases like “there’s something for everyone” tend to get overused a bit. With the Astro Maze, though, it’s really true because this device has an incredible range of flavors at launch with more almost certainly on the way in the future.
