Lost Vape Orion Q Review Guide

Here at Vape Juice, we are huge fans of the recent popularity of pod vaping systems and nicotine salt e-juice. Pod systems are great for newbies because they’re small, satisfying, reliable and easy to use. Even many expert vapers have downgraded from larger mods to small pod systems because they’d like to simplify their vaping and stop carrying bricks in their pockets.

One of the best aspects of pod systems is the fact that they’re simply the sleekest and most stylish vaping devices on the market today – and at the moment, there is probably no vaping device on the market that looks nicer than the Lost Vape Orion Q. This is a device with a gorgeous stainless steel body and beautiful side panels made from abalone shells and other luxurious materials – and the overall industrial design of the Lost Vape Orion Q is just fabulous. It’s reminiscent of the most timeless consumer products of the late 20th century, and it’s definitely not a vaping device that’s going to look obsolete in a year.

Using the Lost Vape Orion Q

Lost Vape Orion Q Review

Pod Compatibility

The Lost Vape Orion series is a spectacular line of pod vaping systems, but the series does have one drawback in that it isn’t easy to understand the differences between the five devices. The parts for the devices also aren’t always compatible with one another. The Lost Vape Orion Q can use Orion Q pods, but it can’t use Orion DNA pods.

Charging the Device

To charge the Lost Vape Orion Q, simply connect it to your computer using the included USB charging cable. The LED next to the charging port changes color to indicate the battery’s current charge status.

  • If the light is red, the charge level of the battery is 17 percent or lower.
  • If the light is purple, the charge level of the battery is 64 percent or lower.
  • If the light is blue, the charge level of the battery is higher than 64 percent.

Filling the Pod

To fill the Last Vape Orion Q pod, simply twist off the top cap and fill the pod with e-liquid. Don’t fill the pod completely; leave a little room for air at the top. Replace the cap and take five long draws on the Orion Q without pressing the fire button. This primes the coil by ensuring that the organic cotton wick is completely saturated with e-liquid before you begin vaping. You only need to prime the coil when using a new pod for the first time. After you prime the coil, the pod is ready to use. Take several short puffs to ensure that the wick is completely wet. After you’ve done that, you can begin vaping with longer, deeper puffs.

Vaping With the Lost Vape Orion Q

Lost Vape Orion Q Pod System

The Lost Vape Orion Q is a single-button device with regulated power output and no controls or adjustments necessary. Just press and hold the fire button to vape. If you’re going to stop vaping for a while, press the fire button five times quickly to lock the device. Press the button five times again to unlock the device.

At the base of the mouthpiece, the Lost Vape Orion Q has a collar that allows you to control the incoming airflow. Vape with the collar fully open if you prefer direct-lung hits, or close the collar slightly to restrict the airflow for mouth-to-lung vaping.

Depending on how often you vape and what type of e-liquid you use, you can expect Lost Vape Orion Q pods to last up to about two weeks each. If you use heavily sweetened e-liquids, your pod life will be shorter.

When you start to taste a burned flavor when vaping, it’s time to replace your pod. To replace the pod, push the locking switch on the side of the device down and lift the pod straight up. To install a new pod, align the guides on the side of the pod with the rails on the side of the Orion Q. Push the pod straight down until it clicks into place.

Lost Vape Orion Q vs. Q Pro

Lost Vape Orion Q vs Pro

The Lost Vape Orion Q Pro features a new replaceable coil system that allows you to vary your vaping experience by using coils of different types. It has a slightly higher maximum power level of 24 watts. It works with both Orion Q and Orion DNA pods, and it has a version available with stabilized wood side panels.

Lost Vape Orion Q vs. Q Ultra

The Lost Vape Orion Q Ultra has all the features of the Q Pro plus a full variable-wattage power delivery system supporting a maximum output of 40 watts. The Orion Q Ultra also supports a new series of coils called Ultra Boost and has a fully rebuildable coil available. To support the variable-wattage operation and handle the increased heat, the Q Ultra has an OLED display and additional side venting.

Lost Vape Orion Q vs. DNA Go

Lost Vape Orion Q vs DNA Go

The Lost Vape Orion DNA Go is essentially the same device as the Orion Q, but it uses the Evolv DNA chipset rather than Lost Vape’s proprietary chipset. It’s significantly more expensive than the Orion Q because the Evolv DNA chipset is designed in the United States and is rather expensive for manufacturers to purchase. Both Lost Vape Orion DNA devices work with Orion DNA pods and do not work with Orion Q pods. Two different atomizer coil resistances are available. The Orion DNA Go can operate at three different power levels, and you can adjust those power levels by connecting the device to your computer and modifying its settings with the free Evolv eScribe software. You can also operate the Orion DNA Go at its maximum power level of 40 watts when you want extra vapor by using the built-in Boost function.

The final unique feature of the Lost Vape Orion DNA Go is its Replay mode. When you experience a perfectly enjoyable puff, activate the device’s Replay mode to make every subsequent puff the same as that one.

Lost Vape Orion Q vs. Plus DNA

The Lost Vape Orion Plus DNA has all the features of the Orion DNA Go. Like the DNA Go, it also doesn’t work with Orion Q pods. The Lost Vape Orion Plus DNA has a new color variation with stabilized wood side panels available, and it features a replaceable coil system that allows you to replace the atomizer coil independently of the pod. Lastly, the Orion Plus DNA has five available power settings rather than three.
