Are you new to the Foger Switch Pro? Although it’s only been out for a relatively short time, the Switch Pro has quickly become one of the industry’s most popular vapes. The Switch Pro doesn’t work like a standard disposable vape, though, which means that you’re not going to have a great experience until you learn how to use it. In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know. It all starts with understanding how your Foger vape refill -- also known as the Foger pod -- works.
Are you running low? Browse our collection of Foger pods now. Costing just $12.99 each, Foger Switch Pro pods are available in dozens of flavors and last up to 30,000 puffs.
How to Use a Foger Pod
Here are the three most important things that you need to know about using your Foger vape refill.
- To vape, just inhale through the mouthpiece. As long as the pod has battery power remaining, it’ll work even when it’s not connected to the Switch Pro dock.
- If you hear gurgling, it means that you’re using too much air pressure when puffing on the Foger pod. Since it has a tank-based design, it’s particularly important to use gentle air pressure because puffing too firmly could cause the pod to leak.
- If the pod doesn’t work when you puff on it, you need to charge it. The Foger vape refill has an internal battery with a capacity of 200 mAh, which will only deliver a limited number of puffs before it dies.
How to Charge a Foger Pod

The biggest challenge of using Foger vape pods is the fact that they’re sold on their own and work as standalone vaping devices for a little while. You might have purchased a Foger vape refill thinking that you were getting a full vape, but that’s not actually the case. You need to buy the full Foger Switch Pro kit, which includes a charging dock. If you don’t have that, you’ll need to get a kit in order to charge a dead pod.
If you already have the kit, here’s what you need to do to charge your pod.
- Connect the Foger Switch Pro dock to your computer using a USB cable. The screen on the dock should immediately light up, and you should see a percentage on the battery indicator. When the percentage reaches “100,” the dock is fully charged.
- Connect the Foger pod to the dock to charge it. The pod and dock are magnetic, so they should come together easily. When the dock is charging the pod, you’ll see an icon of a lightning bolt on the screen. When the lightning bolt disappears, the pod is fully charged.
You can also charge the dock and pod simultaneously by charging the dock while the pod is connected to it. If both batteries are completely dead, charging them both will take a little over an hour.
Foger Vape Refill Isn’t Charging? Here’s What to Do

The fact that the Foger Switch Pro has two parts rather than one means that the charging process is a bit more complicated than it would be with a traditional vape. Since there are more components, there are more things that can potentially go wrong. We’ll walk you through fixing it.
If the screen doesn’t come on when you connect the Foger dock to your computer, the dock isn’t charging. Here’s what to do next.
- Try connecting the Foger dock to your computer using a different USB cable. USB cables develop internal stretches and weak points easily, and it’s possible that you’re trying to charge your device with a damaged cable. Replacing the cable fixes most charging issues.
- Try connecting the Foger dock to a different power source. If the dock isn’t charging through your computer, for instance, you can try connecting it to a USB wall adapter instead. Almost any wall adapter should work, but you should avoid charging the Foger dock or any other vape with the wall adapter for a computer or mobile phone because vapes aren’t designed to work with high-speed chargers.
- Make sure that the USB port on the Foger dock is clean. Contaminants like dust and lint can impede charging. You can use a toothpick to push those items out of the port.
If the lightning bolt icon doesn’t illuminate when you connect the Foger pod to the dock, the pod isn’t charging, here’s what to do next.
- Wiggle the pod gently or try disconnecting and reconnecting it. The pod can only charge if all of the metal contact points are touching. It’s possible that the pod simply needs to be seated more firmly.
- Press the metal contacts on the dock and pod gently to make sure that they aren’t stuck. The contacts are spring loaded and should pop back out when you push them.
- Clean the contacts if they appear dirty. You can use a pencil eraser to rub away contaminants, or you can use a cotton swab moistened with just a little isopropyl alcohol.
- Open the pod and check the internal connections if nothing else works. You can access the interior of the pod by twisting the base and gently pulling it off. Under the cover, you should see the wires for charging the battery. When you push the metal contacts on the outside of the pod, they should touch the wires. If not, adjust the wires.
When Is a Foger Pod Empty?
A Foger pod is empty if it tastes badly burnt every time you puff on it. Since all Foger vape refills use a tank-based design that allows you to observe your e-liquid directly, there’s never any chance of being surprised when you’re starting to run low on vape juice. When the tank reaches the bottom, you have just a few puffs remaining and need to make sure that you have a new pod ready to go right away.
What Types of Foger Pods Are Available?
Over the last year or two, manufacturers of two-part vapes have fully embraced the power and flexibility that these types of platforms offer by expanding their product ranges to include multiple types of pods. The Switch Pro platform has also been expanded, which means that you’re no longer just choosing a flavor when you stock up on pods – you’re also choosing which type of pod you want to use. Here are the two types of Foger pods that are available at the time of writing.
- Foger Pods: These are the standard Switch Pro pods. They’re the same as the pod included with your Switch Pro kit, and they’re available in dozens of flavors. These are the only pods made specifically by Foger for the Switch Pro at the time of writing, so they’re the pods you’ll want to get if you’re looking for a familiar experience.
- Icefog Pods: Are you in the mood to try something a little different? The Foger Switch Pro is so popular that it’s inspired a new line of third-party pods. Icefog Pods are directly compatible with the Switch Pro, and they expand the original system’s flavor selection with a new range of nine exciting flavors like Sour Strawberry Ice and Juicy Peach Ice. Give them a try if you want to inject a little variety into your experience.
What Are the Best Foger Pod Flavors?
If your original Foger vape refill is starting to run low on e-liquid, it’s time to start shopping for new pods – and that means you’ll need to decide which flavor(s) you want. We have an entire guide elsewhere on this site devoted to listing and describing all 69+ Foger vape flavors, so you should check that out if you’re looking for a comprehensive list. In this article, we’ll describe just a few top options that are always safe bets if you’re not sure what your favorites are yet.
- Blue Razz Ice: This all-time classic combines a sweet-and-tart blue raspberry flavor with a burst of chilly menthol to create an unmistakable “blue slushie” flavor profile.
- Coffee: If you enjoy a vape flavor with a bit of a savory element, you’ll be a fan of this one. Robust coffee blended with a touch of sweet cream, delivering an experience that’s ideal for breakfast – or whenever you need a pick-me-up.
- Juicy Peach Ice: All of the top vape brands have been adding menthol to their best flavors to make them pop on the palate just a bit more, and Juicy Peach Ice is one of the top flavors in this new trend. The menthol counteracts the sweetness of the peach note and makes you want to keep puffing.
- Mexico Mango: Mango is one of the most popular fruity notes in all of vaping, and Foger’s Mexico Mango is a near-perfect execution with a great blend of sweet and tart aspects.
- Miami Mint: If you like menthol vapes, you’ve got to give Miami Mint a try because it’s a completely unique twist on that paradigm. Combining a smooth mint/menthol base with a fruity blend of mixed citrus notes, this flavor has something for just about everyone.
